We got a ton of feedback from the 9 people that were invited to super special private first-look of adography.com. Thanks to Kampyle for easily taking the feedback, we have everything together with the page on which the problem/issue/nitpicking occurred. Our next step is to organize that and create working tickets (issues) that we need to resolve. While Kampyle is great for taking feedback, it lacks any true organization features to get things into development (i.e. trac, basecamp, etc). So, time to get to organizing and get to work. Stay tuned.

Turning feedback into backfeed
First look emails went out today to 8 friends and family members. Within an hour, one of them reported a bug in registration. Our team is looking into it, but it seems as though the first look appears to be the start gate to a bumpy road. Hey, it can’t be any worse than twitter. Actually, we would love to eventually have their problems (or a scaled down version).
More to come on the first look feedback…
Adography: A first look
While most start with a private beta, our site is going to launch with a “first-look” phase. We are looking to seed the database and get initial feedback before we get to private beta. Also, we are working out the last details with legal and business issues, so we are letting people get a first look, without having all the legal issues sorted out. Obviously, they are all going to people we trust (and only about 5-10 in number).
We are integrating Kampyle to gather feedback from our users. As we will be releasing to private beta to start, we know we will have a ton of feedback. And, since we are specially inviting every user, that feedback is more valuable than coming just from anyone.
Startups are a dime a dozen. They are small fish in the sea of sharks. We know that.![]()
We also know that great ideas are hard to dream up and when someone dreams one up, people flock to it; Case and point, the wheel. Ok, our idea isn’t as great as the wheel, but it is pretty attractive.
Someone very close to me once told me that three things sell above anything else… sex, ignorance and ability to profit. We will not sell sex on Adography.com and we will not promote ignorance, but we will offer our users the ability to profit and hope that it sells itself.
Both types of users (hint hint) will likely be able to continue doing what they are already doing (likely enjoy doing) and profit from it in either sales or savings. More to come, stay tuned…
