No longer legally challenged

LegalI have been going back and forth with the lawyers  over the past two weeks revising the terms and conditions. Ok, well, to be honest, they have gone back and forth with themselves red-lining copy based on their understanding of the site. We have a complete document, ready to be HTMLed and posted to the site. The lawyers and I reviewed the places where users will be forced to agree to our terms and we have new text for there, as well. If I had to name two things were ever so diametrically opposed, I would say legal thinking and technical thinking.

Turning feedback into backfeed

Recycle feedback back into the siteWe got a ton of feedback from the 9 people that were invited to super special private first-look of adography.com. Thanks to Kampyle for easily taking the feedback, we have everything together with the page on which the problem/issue/nitpicking occurred. Our next step is to organize that and create working tickets (issues) that we need to resolve. While Kampyle is great for taking feedback, it lacks any true organization features to get things into development (i.e. trac, basecamp, etc). So, time to get to organizing and get to work. Stay tuned.

First glance at first look: It is gonna be a bumpy road

Bumpy RoadFirst look emails went out today to 8 friends and family members. Within an hour, one of them reported a bug in registration. Our team is looking into it, but it seems as though the first look appears to be the start gate to a bumpy road. Hey, it can’t be any worse than twitter. Actually, we would love to eventually have their problems (or a scaled down version).

More to come on the first look feedback…

We are a dime a dozen, but a shiny dime

Startups are a dime a dozen. They are small fish in the sea of sharks. We know that.Adography Beta Logo

We also know that great ideas are hard to dream up and when someone dreams one up, people flock to it; Case and point, the wheel. Ok, our idea isn’t as great as the wheel, but it is pretty attractive.

Someone very close to me once told me that three things sell above anything else… sex, ignorance and ability to profit. We will not sell sex on Adography.com and we will not promote ignorance, but we will offer our users the ability to profit and hope that it sells itself.

Both types of users (hint hint) will likely be able to continue doing what they are already doing (likely enjoy doing) and profit from it in either sales or savings. More to come, stay tuned…
